“1) Find a good real estate attorney. By personal referral is usually best. consult local Realtors or friends that live in the area for the names of a few attorneys that specialize in real estate.
2) Get the property appraised by a licensed appraiser. Also get an opinion of value by Realtors. You can get the name of a good appraiser from a real estate attorney, Realtor, or mortgage loan officer.
3) Ask your real estate attorney, realtor, and friends for the name of a good mortgage loan officer. Your mortgage loan officer can pre-qualify any potential buyers for your house before you enter into a contract.
